Michael Mraz PT, MPT, CMT, CKTP
Clinic Director, Physical Therapist

Mike  is a licensed Physical Therapist, a Certified Massage Therapist and Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner with over 16 years of experience in Sports and Orthopedic Therapy settings.

Mike’s mission is to guide his patients with reaching their peak potential of pain-free, efficient movement through flexibility, strength, balance and coordination by addressing the imbalances, disorders, and compensations that erode performance and activity. An active triathlete, runner and curler, Mike knows that soreness and pain can diminish the abilities you work so hard to improve.

Solving the root of the problem instead of treating the symptoms achieves longer lasting results in a shorter treatment time. Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Work and Contract Release Stretching may also be used to address what may keep you from the top of your game.

Mike specializes in assessing and solving soft tissue dysfunction due to pain, weakness and loss of mobility. Specific disorders include ITB syndrome, Piriformis syndrome, scapular pain, foot, heel and Achilles tendon issues, tennis elbow, impingement syndrome in the shoulder and loss of neck mobility.

Beatrix Szokola PT, DPT, COMT
Physical Therapist

Beatrix was born and raised in Hungry until the age of 16 when she and her family moved to the United States. In 2001 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rutgers University before earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami in 2005.
Following her pre and post graduate education Beatrix sought to advance her manual skills under the prestigious and world renowned Maitland Concept program. This in-depth, manually intensive certification process took Beatrix around the world studying and practicing under some of the best manual therapist in the field; giving her invaluable clinical application under the tutelage of Maitland-trained therapists. Beatrix, a speaker and writer of many languages, also helped translate the Maitland program curriculum in Europe giving her an even more profound understanding and working knowledge of the material.

Being a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMPT) under Maitland, Beatrix enjoys getting to the “root” cause of her patient’s pain. Using her vast knowledge of the body along with a detailed analysis of past medical history she develops her treatment plan to not only address the symptoms but to drill down to the cause of the issue. This enables Beatrix to treat some of the more complex issues, especially those issues that are derived from a spinal dysfunction. It is not uncustomary for Beatrix to successfully take on patient cases who have had minimal relief with other treatments.

Beatrix has been applying her craft at Madison Spine & Physical Therapy since 2012 and when asked what she likes most she states, “I enjoy the atmosphere here, my coworkers and patients make it such an enjoyable place to be.”

When not in the clinic or sharing her knowledge with other staff members, you may find Beatrix showing off her Salsa moves on the dance floor. But when it’s time to relax Beatrix can be found outside gardening, a passion she shares doing with her mother.
